Academic institutions are the backyard of aCGT.
aCGT research group is comprised of an internal team together with multiple academic institutions, which serve as innovative sources and even small-scale processing development center for some of our products. Many of our pipelines stem from or are inspired by collaboration with institutions. Some examples of collaborative institutions are shown below.
1. CAPITAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Capital Medical University(CMU) was founded in 1960 and is a key higher education institution in Beijing. It is a jointly established institution by the Beijing Municipal Government, the National Health Commission, and the Ministry of Education. The school currently has 8 national key disciplines and 2 national key (cultivation) disciplines; 60 national key clinical specialties (including traditional Chinese medicine); 14 key (cultivated) disciplines of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine; 4 first level key disciplines in Beijing, 6 second level key disciplines in Beijing, 1 key interdisciplinary discipline in Beijing, and 1 discipline cluster in higher education institutions in Beijing.
The school has signed friendly exchange and cooperation agreements with more than 50 universities and related units from 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. We have received hundreds of experts, scholars, and students from over 50 countries and regions for academic exchange and visits to the university.
The stem cell and regenerative medicine research group led by Professor Yan Jihong is dedicated to the basic and clinical transformation research of mesenchymal stem cells and their derivatives. The main research directions include: 1. Research on stem cell differentiation and tissue regeneration and repair mechanisms; 2. Isolation and purification of extracellular vesicles derived from mesenchymal stem cells and research on related indications; 3. Treatment and transformation of genetically engineered stem cells. In recent years, the research group has been approved by multiple National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation of China, and provincial and ministerial level projects, and has published more than 20 SCI papers publicly. Professor Yan's research group and aCell mainly conduct research on cell derived products such as extracellular vesicles
2. ZHEJIANG SCI-TECH UNIVERSITY

Professor Wu Yuehong's research group has been engaged in the induction of pluripotent stem cells (iPS) and immunity for a long time. Since 2016, in cooperation with Zhejiang Quansheng, a mature and complete differentiation system for iPS differentiated cardiomyocytes, retinal pigment epithelial cells, natural killer cells, macrophages and other cells has been established. One national invention patent, seven utility model patents, and two invention patents have been granted, Published over 20 SCI papers and trained multiple graduate students. Hosted and completed multiple projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China funding, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, and innovation and entrepreneurship projects for overseas returnees. Participated in the completion of multiple projects such as the "973" project and the "973" preliminary special project.
